The 2008-2009 school year ended on June 3rd with 6th grade promotion ceremonies. The class of 2015 celebrated the end of their elementary careers with a delightful ceremony followed by cookies and punch at the elementary school.

CSES said good bye and good luck to five retiring teachers. Mrs. Sally Williams, Mrs. Roberta Marafine, Mrs. Judy Vanderwende, Ms. Jean Maas, and Mrs. Debbie Mink. Their presence will be missed at CSES. We wish them a happy retirement and hope they will visit us.

This summer CSES will host 2 weeks of Summer Reading Clinic. Edinboro University will partner with CSES to provide reading experiences during the weeks of June 15th and 22nd. Several students signed up to attend the week long sessions.

At the June 11th School Board meeting, the Board of Education hired three teachers for CSES. We will welcome Mr. Grant Simmons to grade 1, Mr. Tae Daddio to Emotional Support, and Mrs. Amanda Hoover to Title 1 Reading. In addition to these newly hired staff members, CSES will welcome Mrs. Vini Smith grade 1 (transferring from MES) and  Mrs. Jen Jardina grade 2 (transferring from SES) to the building. It will be an exciting year with many new faces!

The summer hours for the building are 7:30-3:30 M-Th and 7:30-12:30 on F. If you are new to the area and need to register for school, please do so during these hours. Thank you and enjoy your summer!
