About CFF @ PENNCREST
PENNCREST School District is the recipient of a Classrooms for the Future Grant. The state-provided grant is about recognizing and embracing the need for high school reform, enabling teachers to use technology as an effective tool for educating students, and preparing students to enter and successfully compete in the ever-expanding high-tech global marketplace. For additional information please visit the PA Ed Hub portal (www.edportal.ed.state.pa.us/)
Laptops carts, Interactive white boards and projectors are all a part of the acquisitions made available through the grant. Additionally, a “coach” will work as a team member to assist the CFF Classroom teachers as they begin using the equipment and making changes to the learning experiences.
Each of PENNCREST’s high schools will have six classrooms involved in CFF for the 2009-10 school year. These classrooms represent the four core content areas of English, Math, Science and Social Studies. The classrooms will each have access to shared laptop carts, classroom interactive white boards and projectors.
Please keep watching for updates as the equipment arrives and the classrooms begin to implement the changes that will make a difference in learning for PENNCREST students.
